If you build it, they will come. This is the mantra I chanted to myself as I started my service-based mental health practice (www.dhaynestherapy.com) and my online self-help store (www.theblindspotbiz.com). This has proven to be a true statement since someone is always looking for your products or services. The key is that you have to get out of your own way in order to create the products or services they are itching to buy.
I know. I know. It is much easier said than done. Yes, it may get hard at times, but I truly believe that when you set your mind to accomplishing something…by any means necessary….it will come to fruition. The problem is that so many people give up before they even start! They listen and believe their inner critic that tells them that no one will want what they have to offer, that people will laugh at their products, and that no one will buy their products or services because they are just a _______________ (fill in the blank). That same inner critic keeps asking, “Who are you to think that you can become an entrepreneur?” All of those negative voices have kept many people from sharing their gifts with the world and living the life of their dreams. I know this is happening because those same voices were on repeat in my head as well. However, despite the voices, I JUMPED!
I wrote this book for people that are tired of playing games with themselves and listening to their inner critic. Those people that have said they were starting their business for years but have not made any efforts to actually do it.
